Watch the Clock @
5:32 AM
Don't kill me. It's only semi-angst. I know. I suck. This oneshot sucks.
This contains a manga!Hayato so he's a chain smoker and he would cuss out a lot. I dunno. I just like to use manga!Hayato rather than anime!Hayato. I know. This probably suck. Ah. The plotbunny failed me.
Why can’t you see?
That the person who needs you the most is me.
Watch the Clock
10:35 PM
“Japan will be experiencing light rain showers with lightning and thunder.”
“That’s just bullshit.” Gokudera snorted as he looked at the window and saw the heavy rain outside. He took a long drag from his cigarette before saying, “Fucking liar. It’s raining like hell today.” He turned back to the television to watch the news.
11:05 PM
A knock was heard.
Gokudera grumbled something under his breath before standing up to open the door.
11:07 PM
Gokudera was shocked to see a soaking Daidouji Rin standing on his doorway. He could only mutter incoherent words.
11:10 PM
Standing inside Gokudera’s apartment is a dripping wet Rin. Her eyes were red and puffy. Her cheeks were flushed. Her breathing, irregular. Her dress was now clinging to her body. She looked at Gokudera with pleading eyes.
11:22 PM
They were both inside Gokudera’s room. Rin is holding a mug of hot chocolate and a red towel is draped over her head. She refused to look straight at Gokudera.
Gokudera threw a black shirt beside Rin and sat on his bed, staring intently at the girl.
11:25 PM
“I had nowhere to go. I’m sorry Gokudera-kun.” Rin said shakily, her gaze still averted from Gokudera.
“What happened?” Gokudera asked.
11:30 PM
No one said a word. Gokudera is still staring at Rin, while Rin is still looking down.
11:30:49 PM
“What the fuck just happened, Daidouji? You were supposed to be on a date, right?” Gokudera snapped at Rin, earning a wince from the girl.
11:31 PM
Still no reply from Rin.
Gokudera is already glaring at the girl.
11:32 PM
Rin started crying.
To say that Gokudera was freaking out was an understatement. He never had any experience on weeping girls, and Rin was seriously bawling her eyes out.
11:37 PM
Rin had stopped crying, much to Gokudera’s relief. Her cries subsided into hiccups and sniffs, and she still won’t talk.
11:40 PM
Gokudera is beyond pissed. The girl was inside his room, not answering to his questions. He was about to snap at her when he heard her say, “He broke up with me.”
11:41 PM
Gokudera was pacing around his room, trying to control his anger. “Why?” he asked her. “What was the reason?”
Rin smiled wryly and said, “He said that he was too good for me.”
11:43 PM
Seriously, Gokudera wanted to bash the guy’s face. What a lousy reason to break-up with a girl. And who does the guy think he is, Brad Pitt, to say that Rin wasn’t good enough for him?
Rin looked down on the empty mug, feeling very stupid. She should’ve listened to the others when they told her that the boy would only break her heart.
11:44 PM
Rin was being gnawed by guilt. It was a lie. The guy never broke up with her. She broke up with him. She found out that he was cheating on her.
Gokudera eyed Rin. He felt something was wrong because she’s silent once again. “What’s wrong?” he asked.
“Nothing,” was her reply.
11:47 PM
Rin started crying again. She confessed that she found out that he was cheating on her.
Gokudera’s wrath intensified even more. He’s pretty sure that he’ll kill the guy.
11:50 PM
“H—hey. Just forget about him. He’s obviously no-good.” Gokudera said in an attempt to console Rin.
But Rin only cried harder.
11:54 PM
Rin had stopped crying once again. Her faced is buried on her palms and she said, “I’m so sorry for disturbing you, Gokudera-kun, but I had nowhere else to go.”
“Tch. I told you woman, it’s fine. Stop thanking me.”
11:56 PM
“We could kill the guy if you want. We could ask that yakyu-baka to cut him up.” Gokudera said seriously, staring intently at Rin.
A giggle left Rin’s lips and she said, “Don’t be silly, Gokudera-kun. I’ll be fine.”
“And if you’re not going to be fine?” Gokudera deadpanned.
Rin just shrugged casually and said, “Then you’ll have my permission to beat the crap out of him. But please don’t bring Tsuna-kun into this.” Sometimes, it’s convenient to have a mafioso as a friend.
11:59 PM
“Gokudera-kun, thanks again.”
“Damn it woman, stop thanking me!”
12:03 AM
A tired yawn escaped from Rin. She was on Gokudera’s bed while the silver-haired bomber was on the couch. “Gokudera-kun, do you think I’ll be able to find a man who’ll really love me?”
Gokudera let out a snort before replying, “I don’t know, woman. I don’t really believe in that crap.”
12:05 AM
“Ne, Gokudera-kun, thanks for always being there for me, even though I’m kind of annoying.” Rin said as she grinned at the mafioso who’s half-asleep.
Gokudera’s reply was a, “Damn it woman, just go to sleep.”
12:09 AM
Rin was standing over Gokudera and she leaned over the guy to give him a peck on his cheek. Smiling, she whispered, “I wish I could find a guy like you, Gokudera-kun.” She then tiptoed back to bed and slept.
12:13 AM
Gokudera was wide awake. He wished that Rin would stop looking around her for the ‘perfect guy’ she’s dreaming for, because he’s just right in front of her.
I know. It sucks. Ah crap. The plotbunny really failed me this time. Actually, I was supposed to write about Shi-kun, but then I really don't want to angst him since I'm depressed right now, and hence, this crappy oneshot was born.
And the title? Oh, don't ask me about it. I know it's not connected to the story but I'm in a stump right now and I couldn't think of a decent title even if my life depended on it.
The ending sucks, no?
Ah crap.
Now I'm off to kill myself for producing such a horrible oneshot.
AND YES, REQUESTS ARE ACCEPTED. But I know you don't want a crappy writer to write a oneshot/drabble/ficlet/drabblet for you.
